Mango Tree Bar & Restaurant Review
518 Shedden Rd, George Town, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

We got to Mango Tree Bar & Restaurant around 8 p.m. for Thursday karaoke and managed to grab seats right beside the DJ booth and what basically becomes the dance floor later in the night. Getting there early was perfect because the place was still relaxed enough for me to get on the mic and sing a song without feeling too self-conscious. Within about an hour, though, the place filled up fast, with a mix of people taking turns on the mic, including a few singers who could seriously hold a note.
Then a bachelorette party arrived already very festive, wearing colorful wigs, and that was when the whole atmosphere went up another level. The crowd got louder, people were laughing, singing along, moving around, and the place started feeling like a proper Thursday-night party.
We ordered dinner around 9 p.m. and had the fried chicken with rice and peas. Both tasted fresh, hot, well-seasoned, and delicious, which made the night even better because we didn't have to choose between going somewhere for dinner and going somewhere for entertainment.
If you're in Grand Cayman on a Thursday night, Mango Tree should absolutely be on your list. Come early if you want a good seat or you're thinking about singing before the crowd gets big, then stay for dinner and watch the night get progressively more entertaining.
