Dufflet Pastries - Downtown Review

Dufflet Pastries is a sketchy place. This does not feel like a dessert place or a coffee place. Our first instinct was to leave, but we were greeted too quickly and caught off-guard looking at the dirty fish tank.

The Asian male server (who spoke perfect English) didn’t seem to understand our order for a cappuccino and a regular coffee. Nor two desserts, one which had to be warmed up. We repeated it several times.

Thereafter, the drinks were prepared in the back away from view. Why? He also took my dessert to the far back to microwave, but I saw him standing and talking to someone, and he spent a whole minute holding my dessert under their mouths chatting away. Ewww!

Finally, nothing we ate or drank was worth going back for. I don’t know how this place stays in business. Maybe they have something else going on in there that makes them more money.
