Door No. 4 Review
West Bay Road, Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands

Went to Door No. 4 in Grand Cayman on Wednesday May 13th 2026. This place is a little difficult to find the first time around. And you think: what a great name for such a trendy little drinking spot.
The reception from the male host who greeted us was great. The energy from the mixologist was nice too but unfortunately that joie de vivre didn't translate into the cocktails we were looking forward to ingesting.
My Gingerbread Penicillin tasted like the Penicillium fungi and the gingerbread were trying to kill the same bacteria. Something about it tasted stale and off-putting. My girlfriend's Jack & Coke took twice as long to make and arrived looking like opaque water with jackfruit floating sadly at the bottom. It definitely wasn't worth the wait.
Too bad. I really wanted to give Door No. 4 some love. But if I can make better mixed drinks at home than what you do professionally behind the bar then I can't really help but give you a clue on what you're doing wrong.
Here are some suggestions on superior cocktails using natural herbs endemic to Grand Cayman: rosemary, usually smoked or torched as garnish; thyme, which works surprisingly well with gin and grapefruit; sorrel and hibiscus for tart floral cocktails; ginger, fresh muddled or steeped, because you can't go wrong with real ginger; scotch bonnet for spicy rum cocktails; tamarind for tartiness; soursop for uniqueness; and coconut flesh for specialness.
Door No. 4 improve your cocktail game if you want to be the talk of the town.
