Trillium Park Review
955 Lake Shore Blvd W, Toronto, ON · Liberty Village & Parkdale
Visited in June and July 2024:
Trillium Park and the William G. Davis Trail are such vibe spots near Toronto’s Lakeshore. This 7.5-acre green space, which used to be a parking lot, is now the perfect hangout for joggers, picnickers, and anyone looking to chill. The trail, named after former Premier Bill Davis, is surrounded by native trees, plants, and cool sedimentary rocks, making it a beautiful place to explore.
But here’s the drama– the park’s length is currently interrupted by the ongoing construction at Ontario Place. The unwanted redevelopment includes a massive spa and water park by Therme Group, along with a revamped concert space by Live Nation and the relocation of the Ontario Science Centre. This means parts of the park and trail are temporarily closed or disrupted due to the construction work .
Despite these interruptions and disruptions, Trillium Park and portions of the William G. Davis Trail are still open and worth visiting, and once you’re there, you’ll still find plenty of spots to enjoy the scenery and become one with nature in the city.
