Trattoria Nervosa Review

75 Yorkville Ave, Toronto, ON · Yorkville & The Annex

5/5 Editor's Pick

I’ve been going to Trattoria Nervosa since the late ’90s, back when Yorkville still had a bit of an edge and Nervosa was just a tucked-away gem on the corner of Bellair and Yorkville. Not once in the past 25 years have they disappointed me. This visit was no different.

I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, which was done exactly the way you want comfort food to be: nice and saucy, and full of flavour without trying too hard. The pasta was perfectly al dente, the meatballs tender, and the tomato sauce clung to every strand like a magnet. Simple, solid, and satisfying.

The outdoor patio where we sat was buzzing because the sun was streaming through the leaves, Aperol Spritzes were clinking, and every table was full of people who clearly knew they were in the right place.

Friendly, smiling servers and great people watching on a warm spring day was just the thing we needed after a long winter.
