We went to Soluna on Sat April 4th, 2026. This place was formerly the well-loved Ultra, and before that Bamboo, so I’ve been occasionally partying at this location for quite some time.

Soluna is a welcomed reincarnation.

We didn’t have dinner there, but it does look inviting enough if you want to start the night with a meal. That said, this place really shines as a party venue. The decor is beautiful and feels worthy of a higher-end nightclub. Nothing about it feels cheap, cheesy, or thrown together. The lighting was also done right: not too dark, enough red tones, and thankfully not overloaded with black light nonsense.

The DJs were top notch and the mixing was excellent. Mostly house, with other genres worked in seamlessly to keep the rhythm going. I knew most of the tracks, but appreciated the refreshed versions and edits they were given. Earlier in the night the sound system was excellent too, though later on the bass got a little too ambitious for the speakers and caused some intense rattling.

A few notes: coat check at the front is $5 per person. In the women’s washroom, there is also a bathroom attendant handing you paper towels after you wash your hands, which adds to the nightclub feel depending on how much ceremony you like with your hand drying. If you smoke, they have a patio outside, and since it was drizzling when we went, they even provided umbrellas, which was a nice touch.

Now for the nonsense: the bar prices. Two rum and cokes cost us $36 plus tip. They weren’t exactly handcrafted miracles either. Then we went back for another round and the same drinks were suddenly $29. So naturally the question becomes: drink prices are based on what? The hour of the night?

Overall, Soluna is a strong addition to Toronto nightlife and a very solid spot if you want somewhere stylish where people really came to dance. If you have an event and want most of your friends to show up, this place will do the job nicely.

4/5, and the missing star belongs to the bar.
