If you want the down and dirty experience of paint-balling with your kids 8 years old and up, then Defcon is the place.
We had to go the low impact route and didn't mind a bit, because it was the mom's and auntie's versus the boys. For the 6 of us to have about 6 course run throughs it cost about $600 everything in. We used over a 1000 paintballs, rented the overalls, helmets, gloves, and paintball guns. If you've got your own overalls and gloves you can save a few bucks. Bring some shoes you won't wear in the car, cuz your shoes are going to get dirty and muddy. I won't lie it stings if you get hit, especially close up - but if you follow the rules you'll be alright.
It's a fun experience that you won't soon forget.
4 out of 5 stars, because if it's your first time there as it was for us., the parking is behind a gate that you are not sure will close after you're inside. Also, the greetings and instructions by the guys at the front desk are not welcoming enough to make you feel at ease with what you're doing there. We had to warm up to them (and maybe them to us) so that we didn't feel like we were putting our kids and ourselves in jeopardy.
