Organic Garage Review
42 Hanna Ave, Toronto, ON · Liberty Village & Parkdale
I've just moved back to the Liberty Village area and have been going to the Organic Boutique for a few months. I think my friends and I have spent over a thousand dollars on groceries here. We don't mind the price because we get what we pay for and the store is aesthetically pleasing.
A few days ago we bought some organic eggs. We put them in the fridge straight away. I just went to make some eggs, and the eggs were spoiled. Have you ever seen or smelled spoiled eggs? I haven't until today. The smell is overwhelming sickening and the eggs come out like a watery mess.
I took the remainder of the eggs back to the store. I picked up some more expensive organic eggs, and Genna, the manager did an exchange without a receipt. However she charged me full price including the price difference. Afterwards, when I asked if I would get some kind of discount going forward as a return customer, she seemed dumbfounded. I explained that I had to stop cooking, get dressed, and leave my house to return eggs that were not kept at the right temperature in her store. She flat out refused, all the while still smiling.
Well, it didn't hurt to ask for compensation for my inconvenience. Most managers would have appreciated the my repeat business,. Without good customers buying expensive produce, you can't really have a successful business. Apparently, I'm not a good enough customer.
