The Nvidia Shield 1st generation is an excellent streaming box. I've had it for 2 years now, and I can't say enough good things about it. Use it with SPMC instead of Kodi so you can speak into the (optional) remote and and find your shows. As well, the first gen remote has a headphone jack which is very handy when others are sleeping in nearby bedrooms. The first gen Shield also has a slot for a micro-SD card. We use a super fast 64GB PRO Class 10 Micro SDXC Card with it and the box streams 1080p movies - stutter and lag free. Get yourself unlimited internet, a IPTV subscription, Real-Debrid account, game emulator, and download all the Android apps you want. We cut the cord on cable years ago, and with this box we see everything on TV, HBO, NetFlix, Amazon... you name it
