Muttart Conservatory Review
9626 96a St NW, Edmonton, AB
We visited the Muttart Conservatory on Sept 28th 2022 after 5pm
On Wednesday’s and Thursday’s after 5pm is adult time. You can buy a drink or two and walk around to the different, and very large botanical gardens and enjoy.
This place is one of Canada's largest indoor botanical collections. There are 700 species of labeled plants in 3 climate-regulated biomes, and a another feature “pyramid” room with a unique collection of couture designs of flowers and plants on mannequins.
The biome rooms are called: Arid, Temperate, and our favorite Tropical.
The tropical room has a comfortable humidity, a waterfall, streams and colourful plants. There are several sitting areas to relax, observe, breathe in the clean air, and enjoy the sounds of water.
In the arid room you’ll be surprised by the many species of cacti; some with white soft fluff coming out of them, and others wrapping themselves in what looks like spiderwebs.
In the temperate room you’ll see a tree fashioned into a “woolly mammoth”.
Finally in the pyramid room you’ll be amazed by how fashionable plant dresses can be. Although this room may change to another theme by the time you go..
