The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Moncton Review

Went for dinner on June 27th, 2023.

Pros:

Great service by our server.

Cons:

The place was too dark and dingy looking, and smelled like old carpet. It’s is in sore need of a renovation.

The appy’s were a disappointment. Not consistent with the same tasty appetizers that are served in the downtown Keg in Toronto. The Caesar salad was not very garlicky, the mushrooms in cheese were boring. The shrimps were hiding in some weird tasting sauce. I don’t think the shrimp is supposed to be that tiny.

The prime rib sandwich was again very bland.

My girlfriend’s medium-rare fillet mignon was rare and bloody.

The cocktails forgettable.

The whole meal was forgettable after being seated and having a look around at the uninspiring decor.

This franchise location needs some admonishment from upper management.

The worst part is that this tired place to eat is conveniently located in the Marriott hotel where we’ll be staying at for several weeks!
