Sugar Roll Japanese Cuisine Review

We went to Sugar Roll in Dieppe, NB for dinner on July 9th, 2023.

This review focuses on the food excellence and the outstanding flavors that truly made this visit worthwhile.

We walked for 25 minutes to reach Sugar Roll on a scorching 30-degree day. Upon arrival, we were seated by the door without water or a menu for ten minutes. However, despite the servers being busy, they provided attentive service after the initial delay. As a foodie and a reviewer for @chowhoundgta on IG, we typically give a restaurant one chance to get things right, and they certainly did.

The sushi at Sugar Roll was outstanding and undeniably the highlight of our experience. The Volcano roll and Dynamite rolls were incredibly fresh, flavorful, and had a perfect texture. Similarly, we found the Tonkotsu and Bulgogi ramen to be delightful, offering a harmonious combination of taste and texture. We enjoyed all this deliciousnesses with a Sapporo draft.

The place was bustling with patrons, customer pickups, and meal delivery services, which is a clear testament to its popularity and demand.

We can clearly see why Sugar Roll has garnered such praise and patronage. Despite the initial seating mishap, the remarkable sushi and other dishes more than made up for it. We highly recommend giving this place a try if you're in the area.
