I ordered the Valentine’s Day 2026 Half Dozen Red Roses (with baby’s breath) and let’s just say… I was a little surprised by what showed up.

For $78 plus HST, plus $25 delivery (hello $116.39 CAD 👀) no vase needed, I was expecting lush, bulbous, high-petal-count garden style roses. You know the kind; dense, dramatic, head-turning blooms that justify a premium holiday price tag. What arrived? Standard hybrid teas 🌹. Basic commercial roses you can find almost anywhere. Pretty? Sure. Luxury? Not quite.

The arrangement itself looked neat and the delivery was professional. Credit where it’s due. But when you’re charging boutique prices, the flowers need to match the fantasy.

What really sealed the disappointment was the communication. I emailed to ask a simple question: what variety of rose was used and what other types of roses did they have? Instead of answering, they sidestepped it entirely and sent back a generic explanation about holiday surge pricing. That wasn’t the question. Transparency shouldn’t be seasonal.

In short: if you’re particular about rose variety and ask direct questions, this may not be your florist. If you’re fine with standard roses dressed up at luxury pricing, you’ll be content.
