Best Buy Express Review

Eaton Centre, Toronto, ON · Downtown Yonge & Dundas

1/5 Avoid

I researched my cordless phone battery on "The Source" online like a good little customer and then went into The Source store at 1497 Yonge Street with my detailed paper in hand. I was greeted by an Indian clerk (that is the only nationality you will see in The Source) who promptly read the specs I had written down on paper. He then started typing his own information into the online website and came up with his verson of a battery for my cordless phone. I asked him several times if he was sure this that particular battery would work, and his answer was "yes it is for your VTech DECT 6.0 phone". So I took it home and was surprised to see that it did not fit into the battery compartment of the handset, nor did it have the required 2 little wires. I called the store location and spoke to the unapologetic Indian fool who gave me the wrong battery. His name was "Mohammed S." or so he claimed. He said that the "SKU" number for my battery was blah, blah, blah. when I typed in this SKU number into the The Source online site, it showed the erroneous battery. The SKU number for the battery I had on paper showed a different and more appropraiate battery for my phone. One can only guess at what Mohammed S had been smoking or drinking, but the two batteries were totally different. This guy totally got me in a foul mood with his unabashed stupidity. I got in my car and drove back to the Yonge & St. Clair location to get my refund. Mohammed S himself gave me the refund, still oblivious to his own insipid ways, and still offering no apology. When I told him I was going to write a negative review of my ordeal and post it online, he said "okay". I ended up ordering the battery from The Source online, and will have it delivered to my house. Let me see how that goes.

Please people stay away from The Source. All refugees from Calcutta work in every Source location I have ever visited and do not seem to have a good grasp of the English language, customer relations, or just plain common sense.

RADIO SHACK was a much better organization than what is now The Source of all confusion and moronic activity.
